Admin Menu
The Admin Menu is only accessible to users with the Administrator role.
The Admin Menu provides access to advanced administrative tools for managing the platform at a deeper level.
Accessing the Admin Menu
Click Admin Menu in the left navigation (visible to administrators only).
Data Management
Data Import
Bulk import data into Point:

| Portfolios | Import portfolio definitions from a spreadsheet |
| Securities | Bulk import security master data |
| Prices | Import historical price data |
| Transactions | Import historical transaction data |
| FX Rates | Import historical FX rate data |
For each import type:
- Download the template
- Fill in your data
- Upload the file
- Review the validation results
- Confirm the import
Data Export
Export all data from Point for backup or migration purposes:
- Click Full Data Export
- Select the data types to include
- Choose the format (Excel, CSV, JSON)
- Click Generate Export
- Download the file when ready
System Health
Monitor the health of the Point platform:

Configuration Management
Price Hierarchy
Configure the priority order for price sources:
- Click Price Hierarchy
- Drag and drop sources to set their priority
- The highest priority source's price will be used when multiple sources provide a price for the same security on the same date
- Click Save
FX Rate Hierarchy
Configure the priority order for FX rate sources (same process as Price Hierarchy).
Validation Rules
Configure the rules that trigger data quality exceptions:
- Click Validation Rules
- See all active rules
- Edit thresholds (e.g., "Flag as stale if price is more than 3 days old")
- Enable or disable specific rules
- Create custom rules
Maintenance
Clear Cache
If you're experiencing display issues, clearing the cache can help:
- Click Clear Cache
- Select what to clear (Analytics Cache, Report Cache, or All)
- Click Confirm
Clearing the analytics cache will cause the next page load to be slower as caches are rebuilt.
Scheduled Maintenance
To put the platform into maintenance mode:
- Click Maintenance Mode
- Set the start and end time
- Enter a message to display to users
- Click Schedule Maintenance
Users will see a maintenance notice and will be unable to log in during the maintenance window.
