System Settings

Administrator Only

System Settings is only accessible to users with the Administrator role.

System Settings is where administrators configure platform-wide behaviour, integrations, and defaults.

Accessing System Settings

Click System Settings in the left navigation (visible to administrators only).


General Settings

SettingDescription
Organisation NameYour organisation's name, displayed in reports and emails
Default Base CurrencyThe default currency for new portfolios
Default TimezoneThe timezone used for scheduling and timestamps
Date FormatHow dates are displayed (DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, etc.)
Fiscal Year StartThe start month of your fiscal year

Branding

Customise the appearance of reports and the platform:

LogoUpload your organisation's logo (used in reports and the platform header)
Primary ColourYour brand's primary colour (used in report headers)
Secondary ColourYour brand's secondary colour
Report Footer TextText to appear in the footer of all generated reports
Email Sender NameThe name shown when Point sends emails on your behalf

Data Sources

Configure connections to external data sources:

Custodian FeedsSet up automated data feeds from banks and custodians
FX Rate SourcesConfigure FX rate providers and their priority
Fund Administrator FeedsSet up NAV feeds from fund administrators

For each data source, you can configure:

  • Connection credentials
  • Data mapping rules
  • Refresh schedule
  • Error notification settings

Notification Settings

Configure system-wide email notifications:

High Priority ExceptionsAlert operations team when critical data quality issues arise
Reconciliation BreaksAlert when reconciliation breaks exceed a threshold
New User InvitationsConfirmation emails when users are invited

Security Settings

Session TimeoutHow long before inactive sessions are automatically logged out
Password PolicyMinimum length, complexity requirements
Multi-Factor AuthenticationRequire MFA for all users or specific roles
IP AllowlistRestrict access to specific IP addresses or ranges
Single Sign-On (SSO)Configure Azure AD or other SSO providers

Report Templates

Manage the report templates available to users:

  1. Click Report Templates
  2. See all available templates
  3. Click Edit to customise a template
  4. Click + New Template to create a custom template
  5. Click Duplicate to copy an existing template as a starting point

Audit Settings

Audit Log RetentionHow long audit logs are retained (default: 7 years)
Data Change TrackingWhich data changes are logged (default: all)
Report Access LoggingLog when reports are generated and downloaded
