Portfolio Filters & Search

Point provides several ways to filter and search portfolios so you can find what you need quickly, even with hundreds of portfolios.

Quick Filters

At the top of the portfolio list, you'll find two quick toggle filters:

Hide Portfolios with no Value

When enabled, this hides any portfolio where the Total Value is zero or has not yet been calculated. This is useful for:

  • Focusing on active, funded portfolios
  • Hiding newly created portfolios that don't yet have data
  • Cleaning up the view when you have many placeholder portfolios

Hide Simple Portfolios

When enabled, this shows only Composite portfolios (portfolios that aggregate other portfolios). Use this when you want to see the top-level consolidated views for each client, without the individual underlying portfolios cluttering the list.

The Search box filters portfolios in real time as you type. It searches across:

  • Portfolio name
  • Portfolio code
  • Client name

Tips:

  • Search is case-insensitive
  • Partial matches work (e.g., searching smith will find Smith Family Office)
  • Press Esc to clear the search

Advanced Filters

Click the Filter button (funnel icon) to open the advanced filter panel:

Saving Filter Presets

If you regularly use the same filter combination:

  1. Apply your desired filters
  2. Click Save as Preset
  3. Give the preset a name (e.g., "GBP Composites — Active")
  4. The preset will appear in the Saved Filters dropdown for quick access

Sorting

Click any column header in the portfolio list to sort by that column:

ClientAlphabetical by client name

The current sort column is indicated by an arrow (↑ ascending, ↓ descending).
