Creating a New Security

To add a security that doesn't yet exist in the system:

  1. Go to Securities → Create New
  2. Enter the security's identifiers (at minimum, an ISIN or name)
  3. Point will attempt to auto-populate attributes from connected market data sources
  4. Review and complete any missing fields
  5. Click Save Security
Auto-Population

If Point is connected to a market data provider (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), entering an ISIN will automatically populate most fields. Always review the auto-populated data before saving.
